Welcome to the homepage for the
Care of Church Professionals Committee!
Our team is here to serve you in whatever capacity we can. On this page, you will find information about events and resources that will help our pastors take care of themselves, a confidential prayer link, and any other information we think will serve the pastors of the Eastern Oklahoma Presbytery. Please let us know how we can serve you best!
Mission Statement
We care for the church professionals of the presbytery (All Ministers, CLPs, Certified Christian Educators) and their spouses, through support, education, and resources. We want to build relationships between church professionals, help provide for their spiritual and professional development, and offer pastoral care. Our committee is also on call for pastoral care in cases of misconduct.
Clusters
One of the ways we’ve been able to serve the pastors of the EOP is to organize clusters of pastors based on location. We believe relationships with colleagues are vital to spiritual and emotional health, so we have Northern, Southern, and Eastern clusters, as well as a Tulsa-Metro cluster and one for Honorably Retired pastors. It is our hope that you will be able to connect with a cluster and enjoy great relationships with other pastors. Please contact one of the Committee Members below to find out more about your cluster:
Confidential Prayer and Emergency Situations
Our care team promises to pray for anybody who needs it! Prayer requests sent to our Prayer Link at CCPprayer@gmail.com will be kept confidential between the members of the committee. We will not post information, discuss your situation, send your request to anybody outside the team, or offer it up for prayer at Presbytery meetings. We are happy to serve you in this way! If you should encounter an emergency needing immediate care from our team, please contact Natalie Ford at (918) 671-7203
Our Annual Self-Care Event
We currently offer an annual self-care event that gives our pastors a gentle reminder about taking care of themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually, and provides some tools for this self-care. Our last event details are below…please stay tuned for another event in Fall 2011:
